Residencies & Place-Responsive Practice
I use the term place-responsive for my multi-disciplinary mode of exploration, to underline a subtle ongoing, attentive relationship between myself and a place that shifts over time. My aim is towards a more equal exchange of engagement that I call A Labour of Attentiveness.

Sculpture & Installation
Outputs from my original place explorations are developed into a variety of structures, media and spatial approaches, then re-sited as sculptures or installations. The narratives of the original place-encounter coalescence into conversations within the room, so they may be explored as a new roaming for the audience.

Performance & Collaborative Practice
I have extensive experience working in performance & collaboration including 9 months with The Association of Anaesthetists of GB & Ireland, 16 years with the multi-disciplinary collective point and place and 20 years as one half of a collaborative performance duo with academic/performer, Libby Worth. In 2020, I curated PLACEing Objects Day of Dialogue which can be viewed at https://placeingobjects.weebly.com/. These relationships take me on marvellous voyages of discovery, constantly refreshing my boundaries.

Drawings, Photography, Print, Painting & Mixed Media
I investigate each place by taking the movement and gestures of the location in and out of my body, alongside small material acts. Photography is used both as an external eye and an important way to capture those unique moments where artist and place come together to co-create. Calligraphic ink drawing, paint or collage are further ways to explore the layering of my embedded experience.
